What are The Sizes of Sliding Glass Patio Doors?

Oct 2nd

There are only three standard heights for sliding glass patio doors. Some manufacturers use the term “nominal” to indicate the approximate door opening. This measure is rounded to the nearest inch. Since at least one manufacturer uses the term to refer to the actual size of the door, it is safer to think of the nominal dimensions as those that refer to this size and not the space in which it has to fit.

Low standard height

The lower standard height for sliding glass patio doors on the market is 6 feet 8 inches (2 m) high. The external dimension of the framework takes into account the dimension of the unit. This is the actual size of the door frame measured to the outer surfaces of the door assemblies, excluding any adjustments or housing.
