The pocket door pulls slide in and out of the wall and move on a system of tracks. This type of door is suitable in rooms with little space to install a door that opens outward. There are times when the pocket door off the track and must be removed for repair. Many people try to simply slide the door track system, but a few more steps are needed to accommodate a pocket door in place.

  1. Locate the track at the top of your door frame pocket. In the inside of the track there are two carriages with wheels, also called roll. Pull the car to the center of the door frame.
  2. Place the top of the pocket door pulls below the wheeled carts.
  3. Hook the hooks on the top of the door on wheeled carts. Many pocket door pulls are three to four hooks. Stand on top of a chair or a ladder for easy access to the top of the door.
  4. Tightening or loosening nuts carts with wheels with an adjustable wrench until the door is plumb and be able to slide back into the wall.
