The first measurement is needed in order to determine the correct size crystal door knobs is the diameter of the hole where the knob is. The diameter is the distance in a straight line through the hole from one side to the other. Place a tape measure on one side of the hole and measured directly through the center to find the diameter in inches or centimeters.

Standard Measurements

Some common industry standards are applied to doorknobs. Most door knobs have a diameter between 1 7/8 (4.7 cm) and 2 1/8 (5.4 cm) inches. Normal adjustment measures for rear crystal door knobs ranging from 2 3/8 (6 cm) and 2 3/4 (7 cm) inches. Regarding the closing pistons, the three common sizes for this part of the door handle are 7/8 (2.2 cm), 1 (2.5 cm) and 1 1/8 (2.8 cm) inches.
